If you enjoy doing it, dress up or decorate your home for the sheer enjoyment of the Halloween experience. Dressing and decorating your home allows one to showcase their creative side and try out a new identity for a day! According to Psychology Today, the Halloween season can be therapeutic for some by allowing them to face their fears with humor and fun! 

Enjoy the Tasty Treats (In Moderation, Of Course!) 

Enjoy a happy and healthy Halloween with your loved ones by sharing tasty, nutritious treats! According to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Halloween is also the perfect time to introduce to children the concept of mindful eating. Ask your children to pick out their favorite candy, how it feels to savor it and explain how it may make them feel when they’ve had too much. Mix the candy bowl with treats rich in whole grains, extra vitamin C, 100% fruit juice, and added fiber! 

Complete the Spooky Steps Challenge 

Make it a fitness challenge with your loved ones! Get 10,000 steps on October 31st to earn one point for compliance with Triada this month! After completing the challenge, log your steps into the Triada member portal. Be sure to plan your walking route in safe, well-lit streets strategically. Dress appropriately, wear comfortable shoes, and have fun!
